POLICIES AND PROCEDURES
REGISTRATION FEE: There is a one-time non-refundable $25.00 registration fee due at time of registration.
24 HOUR CANCELLATION POLICY: Lessons must be cancelled or rescheduled 24-hours in advance, otherwise lesson time will be charged/forfeited regardless of attendance. Make-up lessons can be rescheduled (according to the 24-hour cancellation policy) at the teachers convenience and availability, and must be completed within the same month as the missed lesson. If a make-up lesson is not convenient, the lesson will be forfeited and lessons will resume at the regular scheduled time. For group classes there are no make-ups or refunds.
MONTHLY TUITION: Monthly Tuition is auto debited on the 5th of every month. Paid lessons are non-refundable. I authorize The Voice Training Studio to electronically debit my bank account/credit card for the amount of any NSF check or auto-debit transactions plus a $25.00 NSF fee. No rollover lessons will be allowed, or pro-rated lesson amounts.
CANCELLATION and REFUNDS: There is a two-month minimum for all lessons/classes. One-month notice from the first of the month is required to discontinue any lessons/classes. Cancellation must be done in person and will not be accepted over the phone. Cancellation must be done with the Studio Coordinator and NOT the teacher. Cancellations accepted after the 5th of the month will count for the next month. Example: If you turn in notice on Nov 15th, you will be charged for December in full. To withdraw from lessons/classes a parent or adult student must; 1. Inform the Studio Coordinator in person. 2. Complete and sign a withdrawal form provided at the front desk. The Voice Training Studio reserves the right to terminate lessons to any student without notice. In such cases a refund for unused lessons will be given.
SUBSTITUTE INSTRUCTOR: If the instructor is unavailable due to illness there will be a substitute teacher provided. If a substitute is unavailable the student will receive a credit for the missed lessons/classes.
IT'S YOUR RESPONSIBILITY TO CANCEL LESSONS THAT ARE SCHEDULED ON HOLIDAYS: Prior notice will be given when the studio is closed due to holidays or special events. Otherwise, assume that the student’s lesson/class will be held as usual. If the student wishes to move or cancel their lesson due to holidays or special events please refer to the 24 Hour Cancellation Policy.
TARDINESS: When students schedule a lesson time, the student is paying for that time (professional hour 50mins, or professional half hour 25mins) and not minutes into the next lesson time. Please be on time.
STUDENT EXPECTATIONS: Students are expected to practice 3 times a week 15 to 20 minutes minimum. We understand that this is not always possible, but it is very important to your success as a vocal student. It is the responsibility of the student to know ALL lyrics to songs and come prepared with the song they are working on. It is a waste of your time and your instructor’s time if you are singing snippets of songs that you “kind of know”. The Voice Training Studio is the central hub for professional voice instruction in the Greater Sacramento area. Because of our standing in the industry we are able to bring out high profile instructors to conduct Master Classes. It is expected that students attend these classes to further their knowledge as a student of voice. Please take part in classes, workshops and performance opportunities that we work hard to put together for our students during the year. Lessons/classes are recorded for your convenience but not guaranteed. These are for your personal and private use only. Students agree not to publish or allow to be published the recorded lessons/classes in any public domain.
PHOTO AND VIDEO RELEASE: Signing this agreement means I give The Voice Training Studio permission to use photographs and video of my child and I. Some of these advertisements might be but are not limited to things like flyers, brochures, promotional video and websites. I understand there is no compensation for this.
PERSONAL INJURY RELEASE: Parents/Legal Guardians of minor students and adult students waive the right to any legal actions for an injury sustained on studio property resulting from class/lesson activity or any other activity conducted by students before, during or after class/lesson time.
CARE OF STUDENTS: The studio is not responsible for providing before or after class care for students. Parents with students under the age of 7 are to remain in the studio during classes. Students are not to be left at the studio for excessive time before or after class.
EXTREME WEATHER OR UNEXPECTED INTERRUPTION OF CLASSES: If the studio must cancel lessons/classes due to extreme weather or events beyond our control such as power outages, the missed lessons/classes will be rescheduled at the earliest convenient opportunity for the studio and you. No refunds for lessons/classes missed due to these reasons will be given.
